Probably the most common and most popular of all bridal bouquets is the rose bridal bouquet. Some weddings see a variety of fresh wedding flowers while some brides insist on only having the rose as a wedding flower. Roses come in varying colors and species and compared to other flowers, roses are available all year round. A rose bridal bouquet is normally seen in deep red or white. Roses are chosen as they have both beauty and a meaning behind it. Brides do not have to worry about thorns because the rose bridal bouquet will be thorn free as the florist will remove them.

Roses are used in fresh wedding flowers because they come in different colors except black and blue- though silk flowers can be found in these colors. Roses are also popular because of the long, strong and straight stem which makes it easier to handle. Some of the most typical roses found in rose bridal bouquets are Black Baccara, Avant Garde, Milano, Aqua, Sweet Akito, Bianca and Avalanche roses.

Roses come in red, white, yellow, orange, pink and lavender. Red rose bridal bouquet is a preferred choice since they are the traditional color and symbol of love and romance- of everlasting love and passionate and intense romance. White rose bridal bouquet comes in second as they symbolize purity and innocence and of something new which is perfect for weddings. Pink roses are also used to mean admiration and appreciation, though not as passionate as red roses whereas lavender roses are used to signify enchantment and sometimes also, it means love at first sight.
